North East Kitchen Makeover in Seaham

1856 Grade II listed property converted into three separate houses with the help of The Kitchen Centre, Newcastle, North East England.

The property in Seaham required a lot of work and the last job to renovate it was the kitchen. The family choose The kitchen Company as they had seen some of the Kitchens renovations they had done and liked their workmanship.

The house  in Seaham they bought was one of three properties formerly part of a Victorian mansion house and once they started work on it, they discovered lots of original period features quite a few of which they kept.

They then built an orangery at one end of the house in Seaham and then asked The Kitchen Centre to design their kitchen in the North East.

The kitchen was quite a funny shape as some kitchens can be,  one of the alcoves went back further than the other,  however The Kitchen Centre designed the kitchen around the features that were already here.

The original Kitchen was in the garage which has now been turned into a utility room. All which was completed by The Kitchen Centre with the help of their Interior Design team.

As everyone knows getting Kitchens renovated can be a stressful experience. However, at The Kitchen Centre they do everything they can to help relieve that stress for their customers.

The Thompson family from Seaham who owned the property said  ‘We had done so much work on the house that by the time we came to the kitchen, we were a bit stressed. But the Kitchen Centre were great, they put our mind at ease and got on with the job professionally and efficiently. They were very accommodating at every stage and ensured we were always happy, even at one point when we couldn’t get our first choice of granite.’

Oh and of course they need to leave you with a beautiful kitchen at the end of it.

Is there anything the Thompson’s would change in hindsight about their kitchen?  ‘No, nothing,’ concludes Andrea from Seaham. ‘We love everything about it.’
