The Kitchen Centre History

Established in 1978, the brand “The Kitchen Centre” started out on Westgate Road in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The family run business then specialized exclusively in kitchens. Over the years The Kitchen Centre has incorporated other interior services to it’s portfolio including designer bedrooms, bathrooms, studies, building work and an interior design service, which means any aspect of your home renovation can be undertaken by one company and fully project managed, significantly reducing the stress that is incumbent with these types of work.

Still owned by the original family, The Kitchen Centre now has two Kitchen showrooms at  Kingston Park, Newcastle and Team Valley, Gateshead.

The People

Being a family run business it is important to us that we have the right people to form our team. Our tradesmen are all from the North East area and trained to the highest standards and our project managers have a joinery background to ensure they have hands on experience with work they are overseeing.
We also see a distinction between “salesmen” and “designers” which is why at The Kitchen Centre we only employ “designers.” This ensures our customers that our prime focus is to create beautifully crafted furniture, perfectly balanced by ergonomic functionality.
